Here are some tips : Find yourself a One shot Sniper class mod, best would be level 38, it has bonus skills +4 +3 +3(Purple) or +5 +4 (Blue).

Your best bet is to just get the best gear you can aquire at that level and use standard gun build until you beat the warrior.

I prefer a run 'n' gun playstyle where I engage mobs at medium to close range with shotguns, pistols and some melee attacks because it's FUN for me.
